At Folkwang University and PACT Zollverein students from all dance colleges in Germany devote seven days to the subject of artistic reconstruction in dance. They give insights into the artistic approach of each college to this theme. Our Tanzplan Dresden partner Palucca Schule Dresden - Hochschule für Tanz is one of the participating colleges.

During the final presentation of the German Dance Platform 2010 in Nuremberg the oganize institution for the next German Dance Platform 2012 has been announced: The choise has fallen on HELLERAU - European Centre for the Arts Dresden under the artistic direction of Dieter Jaenicke. The 10th German Dance Platform will take place from 23 - 26 February 2012.

The Summer Workshop will take place at the Palucca Schule Dresden – Hochschule für Tanz from July 26th to August 06th, 2010. The grants offer support for three teams to create a new work. The project grant of euro-scene Leipzig (November 2nd to 7th, 2010) addresses freelance choreographers located in or originating from Sachsen, Sachsen-Anhalt or Thüringen. Application deadline is March 14th, 2010. www.euro-scene.de

Dance Festival Xtra frei 2010 in Bremen (June 16th to 20th, 2010) is inviting dance pieces from freelance choreographers especially from northern Germany as well as productions developed within the context of Tanzplan. Closing date for applications is February 15th, 2010. www.schwankhalle.de

The teams of the Germany based argentine choreographer Leandro Kees and of Juraj Korec, choreographer from Slovakia, convinced the jury with their concepts. Each team will create a new piece for a dance evening at the semper kleine szene. The rehearsal period will start in April 2010 over a course of six weeks. Friday, June 11th, 2010 the world premiere will take place.
