Call for aplications
Of more than 60 applications from all around the world Tanzplan Dresden selected Janyce Michellod and Yossi Berg & Oded Graf. Each team was supported financially with a sum of approximately 20.000 € and artisticly by the two menotrs and dramatic advisors Carmen Mehnert ( European Centre for the Arts Hellerau) and Katharina Riedeberger (Dramaturgy at Dresden Semper Oper Ballett).

Janyce Michellod 
Janyce Michellod

Swiss - French national Janyce Michellod studied ballet with Emina Kamberovic and Alex Ursuliak at the National Ballet School of Switzerland ( SBBS, Zürich ). In addition, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dance from The Rotterdam Dance Academy in The Netherlands , where she studied contempory and improvisation techniques . In 2006 / 07, she was a participant on the Daghdha Mentoring Program ( DMP ) in Dance & Choreography in Ireland.
Janyce performed as an apprentice dancer for the Züricher Ballett and the National Ballet of Cuba and later worked with The Young Company of Rotterdam and Daghdha Dance Company. Since 2004 she is developing her own choreographic projects , some of which have been presented in The Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Germany and Ireland. In 2006, Ms. Michellod did act as the choreographic assistant to Daghdha Dance Company’s artistic director Michael Klien for the evening-length dance work Sediments of an Ordinary Mind.
At present, Ms. Michellod is working on her own choreographic projects and is regularly invited to teach ballet and improvisation at the DanceHouse Dublin, at Dock11 and Marameo in Berlin.

For the 11th Long Night of the Museums Dresden an abstract of 4MEN, ALICE, BACH AND THE DEER has been shown at Kunsthalle Lipsiusbau, Dresden. July 11th at 9, 10 and 11pm.

Yossi Berg & Oded Graf
Yossi & Oded are freelance dancers\choreographers, whose collaboration started in 2005. The duo has created and performed through out the world and won international choreography competitions in Germany, Spain and Denmark. They Commissioned works for dance companies and festivals: Japan, USA, Spain, Germany, Taiwan, Lithuania, Finland, Poland, Czech Republic, Sweden, Croatia, Denmark, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Greece, Belgium etc. Their full evening ‘Heroes’ was chosen by critics for 1 of the 5 best dance events in Israel. In 2008 they were chosen by the A.I.R programs of the ‘Movement Research’ in New York and the ‘Artist Village’ in Taipei for residency periods. Up coming tours in 2009 include USA, Luxembourg among others.

Yossi Berg

Yossi Berg worked with DV8 physical theater in London, Batsheva Dance Company (where he worked with choreographers as Ohad Naharin, Jiri Kylian, Angelin Preljocaj among others), Yasmeen Godder Company, to name but few. Between the years 1997-2008 he commissioned world premiers for the ‘Curtain-up / International Exposure’ festivals in Tel Aviv and various theaters through Israel. He created works for International dance companies and opera theaters such as: ‘Batsheva Dance Ensemble’, ‘Donlon Dance Company’ and ‘Tanztheater Osnabruck’ in Germany, ‘Introdans’ in Holland, ‘Aura Dance Company’ in Lithuania, ‘Polski Ballet’ in Poland, ‘Belgrade Drama Theater’, ‘Muza Dance Company’ and ‘Seminar Hakibutzim University’ in Israel; and his works are featured in different festivals throughout the world and he is invited to teach and lead workshops. Berg is the receipt of the Israeli Ministry of Culture award for an ‘out standing Choreographers’ 2006 and ‘best solo artist performer’ 2003. He won first prizes of the ‘Inteational Competition for Choreography’ Hanover 2006, ‘International Serge Diaghilev Competition of Choreography Art’ 2003 and ‘The International choreography contest ‘Burgos - New York’ 2007.
Oded Graf 

Oded Graf
Oded Graf’s awards include two first prizes in ‘Dansolution’ - choreography competition for choreographers in Copenhagen, Denmark 2005 and 2006; first prize of ‘The International choreography contest Burgos - New York and a choreography prize from the ‘Israeli-American Cultural foundation’ 2006. He danced with the Kibbutz Dance Company, Noa Dar Dance Company and took part in international dance projects. Created works for: ‘Israel festival’in Jerusalem, ‘Gaida festival’ and ‘Aura Dance Company’ in Lithuania, ‘Short Stories Festival’ 2006\7 and the ‘Junior Company’ in Copenhagen, ‘Curtain-Up’ and ‘Intima-dance’ festivals in Tel Aviv; and presented his works through out the world. In 2008 Graf was selected for the artist in residency program of the ‘Movement Research’ in New-York, and for the ‘Artist Village artist in residency’ In Taipei, Taiwan. Graf is teaching and leading workshops and classes through out Israel and Europe in Contemporary dance and improvisation. He studies towards a B.A degree in communication at the Open University.
