Palucca Schule Dresden – Hochschule für Tanz
At the Campus of Palucca Schule Dresden the fourth ImproWinter of Tanzplan Dresden took place from February 8th until February 12th. More than 100 participants from 9 countries had the opportunity during the weeklong workshop to work in 10 different courses with the subject improvisation. International teachers from Dresden, Egypt/Dresden, USA, Netherlands, Scottland and England shared their knowledge with professional and advanced dancers as well as artists from other genres. On offer were warm ups in the morning as well as interdisziplinary courses such as Dance & Text, Dance & Video, Dance & Music and Dance & Composition. A public presentation of the courses took place at Palucca Schule Dresden on Friday, February 12th at 7:30 pm.

Screendance artist and author of 'Making Video Dance' Katrina McPherson presents an evening of work, focusing on her evolution of the uses of improvisation in making dance for the screen. Works to be screened will include the contact improvisation film 'Sense-8' made with Touchdown Dance, 'Pace' made for the BBC and recent film made with Kirstie Simson.
