ImproWinter 07
12th - 16th February 2007
Palucca Schule Dresden – Hochschule für Tanz
With a public closing event, the first “ImproWinter” of TANZPLAN DRESDEN was successfully completed.
More than 80 participants had the opportunity to deal with improvisation in twelve interdisciplinary workshops for one week. The offer was directed at professional dancers and artists from other art genres. The courses took place at the Palucca Schule Dresden.
Contradiction is the centre of attention. The unprepared, unexpected, unhoped-for.
Out of the blue, off the cuff, offhand, ad lib.
Living on the imaginary, the prelude, the extemporized.
Starting from obligation, familiarity, yet thriving on deviation, however virtuoso.
Connected to risk, subversive in nature, loving mischief.
Ideally: unpredictable.
Improvisation!
Required? Learnable?
During ImproWinters, essential!
