Palucca Schule Dresden – Hochschule für Tanz
This winter workshop focused on improvisation in dance and a number of its broader aspects. Seven international teachers shared their experience with dancers and artists from a variety of backgrounds.
Every day a contemporary and a ballet training as well as two yoga classes provided the basis for a variety of improvisatory processes. They included ”Improvisation & Instant Composition“, “Improvisation Games“ and “Breaking Forms“. The courses “Physical Cinema“ and “Music & more” addressed dancers and artists from other genres who wish to explore interdisciplinary processes with film or music, while “Music & Intuition” was especially geared to musicians. Theoretical analyses and reflections completed the course programme.
